Important Disclaimer: Sparkworks Academy provides reference tools, calculators, material list generators, code guidance, training materials, and service manuals for residential and light commercial contractors in the electrical, plumbing, and HVAC trades. All outputs — including AI-generated code guidance, material lists, sizing calculations, and training content — are for reference and educational purposes only. They do not constitute professional engineering advice, legal advice, or a guarantee of code compliance. Users must verify all information with current applicable codes, local Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) requirements, manufacturer instructions, and site-specific conditions before performing any work.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Sparkworks Academy ("the Platform"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform. These terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Sparkworks Academy LLC ("we," "us," or "our"), a Missouri limited liability company.

2. Description of Service

Sparkworks Academy is a web-based platform for residential and light commercial contractors providing tools across three trade brands: Sparkworks (Electrical), Flowworks (Plumbing), and Airworks (HVAC). The Platform includes material list generators, sizing calculators, AI-powered code guidance, sales training, service manuals, deliver/export tools, and account management. The Platform is provided "as is" and may be updated, modified, or discontinued at any time.

3. AI-Generated Content Limitations

The Platform uses artificial intelligence to generate code guidance, material suggestions, and job routing. You acknowledge and agree that:

AI-generated outputs are paraphrased interpretations — not official code text and not to be cited as such
AI outputs may contain errors, omissions, or outdated information
Material lists are estimates that must be verified against actual job conditions
Sizing calculations are approximations based on standard methods and may not account for all site-specific variables
The Platform does not replace the judgment of a licensed contractor, engineer, or code official
Users must always verify outputs with current codes, manufacturer specifications, and local AHJ requirements

4. Subscription and Billing

The Platform operates on a monthly subscription. Current tiers:

Tech Plan: $49.99/month — 1 trade, 1 user
Single Trade: $129.99/month + $39.99 per additional seat
Two Trades: $219/month + $39.99 per additional seat
All Three Trades: $299/month + $39.99 per additional seat

Pricing may change with 30 days' notice to active subscribers. All payments are processed through Stripe. We do not store credit card information on our servers.

5. Free Trial

New subscribers may receive a 7-day free trial with full platform access. Your payment method will be charged on the 8th day unless you cancel before the trial ends. You may cancel during the trial at no cost. One free trial per organization. We reserve the right to modify or discontinue the trial offer.

6. Refund Policy

We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee for new subscribers. If you are not satisfied within your first 30 days of paid service, contact support@sparkworksacademy.com for a full refund. After 30 days, subscriptions are non-refundable but may be cancelled at any time, effective at the end of the current billing period.

7. User Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity under your account. Each seat is for one individual and may not be shared. Notify us immediately of unauthorized use.

8. Acceptable Use

You agree not to: reverse engineer or extract source code; share, resell, or redistribute access; use the Platform unlawfully; scrape or extract data with automated tools; reproduce or commercially exploit Platform content outside your internal use; misrepresent AI outputs as official code citations or professional engineering recommendations.

9. Intellectual Property

All content, tools, training, algorithms, and branding (including Sparkworks, Flowworks, and Airworks) are the exclusive property of Sparkworks Academy LLC and protected by copyright and trade secret law. Your subscription grants a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license for internal business use only.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Sparkworks Academy LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including loss of profits, failed inspections, incorrect material orders, property damage, personal injury, or other losses arising from use of the Platform. Total liability shall not exceed amounts paid by you in the preceding 12 months.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Platform is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that code AI will be error-free, material lists will be complete, calculations will be accurate for every situation, or that training will ensure compliance or sales success. All tools are reference aids — professional judgment, code verification, and site assessment are always required.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account for violation of these Terms, abusive behavior, or use that harms other users or our systems. You may cancel at any time; access continues through the end of the billing period. We may retain anonymized usage data after termination.

13. Third-Party Trademarks

Sparkworks Academy is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by: NFPA® (National Fire Protection Association), NEC® (National Electrical Code), ICC® (International Code Council), IAPMO® (International Association of Plumbing and Mechanical Officials), ASHRAE®, ServiceTitan®, Housecall Pro®, or any equipment manufacturers, software platforms, or industry organizations referenced within the Platform. All third-party trademarks are property of their respective owners and used for identification only.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by Missouri law. Disputes shall be resolved in St. Louis County, Missouri courts.

15. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notice at least 14 days in advance. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
