Sparkworks Academy LLC ("we," "our," or "us") operates the Sparkworks Academy platform. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and protect information about you when you use our Service.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following types of information:

Account information: Name, company name, email address, city, state, and number of technicians when you sign up
Billing information: Processed through Stripe. We do not store credit card numbers. Stripe's privacy policy governs payment data.
Usage data: How you use the tools (material lists generated, NEC queries made, generator calculations performed). This data is used to improve the Service.
Device information: Browser type, device type, IP address, and general location for security and rate limiting purposes
User-entered data: Job addresses, property details, and material lists you create within the Service

2. How We Use Your Information

To provide, maintain, and improve the Service
To process your subscription payments
To send you account-related emails (receipts, notices, support responses)
To prevent fraud and abuse
To enforce our Terms of Service
To contact you about new features or products (you may opt out at any time)

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not use your data to train AI models.

3. Data Storage and Security

Your account data is stored on Cloudflare's infrastructure, protected by industry-standard encryption in transit (SSL/TLS) and at rest. User credentials are hashed using PBKDF2 with 100,000 iterations before storage.

Session data is stored in your browser's sessionStorage and is cleared when you close your browser. Preference data is stored in localStorage on your device.

We take security seriously, but no system is 100% secure. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately at support@sparkworksacademy.com.

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

Cloudflare: Hosting, CDN, DDoS protection, and DNS. Cloudflare Privacy Policy
Stripe: Payment processing. Stripe Privacy Policy
Anthropic (Claude AI): Powers the NEC Code AI tool. Queries are sent to Anthropic's API. Anthropic Privacy Policy
Google Fonts: Font delivery. Google Privacy Policy

5. NEC AI Queries

When you use the NEC Code AI tool, your query is sent to Anthropic's Claude API to generate a response. Queries are proxied through our Cloudflare Worker. We do not intentionally include personally identifiable information in AI queries. Please do not include sensitive personal or financial information in your code questions.

6. Data Retention

We retain your account information for as long as your subscription is active and for 90 days after termination. Usage logs are retained for 12 months. You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

Access the personal information we hold about you
Request correction of inaccurate information
Request deletion of your account and associated data
Opt out of marketing communications

8. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect information from minors.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
